Patria Pilot Training is one of the largest EASA Approved Training Organizations (EASA-ATO) in Northern Europe. Our school is part of Patria´s extensive Pilot Training business, which includes both Civil and Military Pilot Training. Civil Training is located at Tampere-Pirkkala airport, while our Military basic Training for the Finnish Air Force cadets takes place at our Tikkakoski base.
Patria Pilot Training is the only EASA ATO in Finland which provides both Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) for airlines (based on Airbus A320) and Integrated ATP(A) training for individual cadets, and as ab-initio programs for Airlines. Flight instruction and theoretical training are provided by top professionals of the industry.
After graduation, Patria´s students will hold required licenses and ratings for their future positions as First Officers; MPL license for a particular airline or CPL ME/IR MCC with Frozen ATPL.
Patria conducts psychological and aptitude testing to all cadets as part of the application process. Through testing and selection we can be confident that selected students will be suitable for the training and duties as flight crew members. Thanks to our rigorous testing, Patria´s wash-out rate is practically zero and our students very rarely require any additional training.
Patria´s customers enjoy the benefits of Patria´s solid ownership: Patria is owned by the State of Finland (50.1%) and Norwegian Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (49.9%). Having large owners brings considerable financial stability to our operations. This unique arrangement will secure your training investment unlike with any other basic training organization. Additionally, we provide the highest learning quality in the market to take our cadets far in their careers.
As an indication of Patria´s pilot training quality and capabilities, the Finnish Air Force has outsourced its basic military training to Patria. This long term strategical cooperation has produced talented pilot cadets for the Finnish Air Force to train further as e.g. first line fighter pilots.
